Project Manager

Job description

As a Project Manager you are responsible for the execution of software and systems development projects within a multi-disciplinary team.
You will oversee projects within the Development Projects division, working closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams throughout the full software development lifecycle. The Project Manager role demands ownership, proactivity and the capability to ensure development projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality. You have a
result-oriented mindset, technical affinity, and a sharp focus on quality to ensure the successful delivery of our development projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, sprints, and release schedules.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams throughout the software development lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy).
  • Translate customer requirements into structured technical project plans and defined work processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, plans, schedules, and reports.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and ensure up-to-date project documentation.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives) where applicable.
  • Manage scope changes, user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles, and release/deployment schedules.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project and technical risks and issues.
  • Solve complex project-related problems and facilitate timely decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management, preferably in a software or systems development environment.
  • In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, cost management, and project forecasting.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Dutch.
  • A real team player, who demonstrated leadership, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
